Our Story...

Once upon a time, an aspiring author named Cade Jay Hathaway chanced to meet a book editor on a European trainride. They got to talking, and when young Hathaway learned his seatmate was an editor he shared with him the fact that he happened to be a writer.

Following exhales of disappointment and a profound number of eyerolls, the editor begrudgingly agreed to give the would-be novelist's manuscript a look. "Send it to this address," the man sighed
.

"But wait!" countered Cade, "I can send a pdf of my sure-to-be-bestseller right to your email address; right about now!" And so, the grizzled, oldish editor who had been there, done that, and had purchased more than one of the T-shirts, in reluctant agreement nodded his assent. Then he promptly shut his eyes and took a nap. (Or at least it appeared as if he did.)

A couple of weeks later, our Hero was contacted by the now very friendly—and as Cade remebers it, very excited—editor, who offered him a contract to publish Happy Endings Sleepover. That fortuitous meeting happened in 2014, and now—some fourteen books later—Cade Jay Hathaway has established himself as one of the foremost writers of gay youth fiction, worldwide.

Creator and author of two very popular gay-themed novel series: The Johnnie & Sander Stories, and the Ship's Boys: The Adventures of Rian and Mouse serial novels, DP&Sons Publishers were looking for an excuse to establish a separate imprint for gay-themed works. With the success of Cade Jay Hathaway's books, Cerulean Sky Press was born.

And now is when all of us who have a hand in bringing these titles to you wish to offer you our sincere thanks. Your continued support of the writings in the LGBTQ genre—but especially of our Cerulean Sky titles—means the world to us, and also
to that gay kid growing up with more questions than answers. A heartfelt thanks goes out to you.

So please take a few moments to peruse our catalogue. Each of Cade's series has its own page here at the Cerulean Sky Web site. And if you wish to know more about a title, or purchase any of them, just click on the cover and away we go!

I thoroughly enjoyed it (Happy Endings Sleepover), and it is a title that I will

heartily recommend to any potential reader--straight, gay, or otherwise.
